“The idea for solidifying this band and this idea of redeeming perceptions of music all started when I bought a 1961 Gibson SG reissue. This was the guitar that bands like Black Sabbath and AC/DC played. Within days of buying my SG, I arranged both this song and “Joyful Joyful” to be performed for the upcoming Sunday worship at our church. Jon and I tried to explain to our congregation what we were trying to do (redeeming people’s perception of this guitar). Over time, people have grown to love and appreciate these two arrangements as they see our genuine hearts in the message of redemption we bring. Even if they don’t particularly like the music.” -Jared
