"This song came out of a desire for our worship to reflect the realities of our world. Sometimes it feels to me like modern worship music denies the dialogue present in the words of the psalmists. I love worship that is heartfelt adoration to our God, but we also need calls for help and intervention that make sense in today’s culture. This song is an attempt at that, a call for God’s interaction and a dissatisfaction with complacency. And for the record, this song was written before the release of John Mayer’s Continuum album, so I think maybe he took the vibe from me. Just kidding John." -- Jon
