"This has always been one of my most favorite hymns. But to be honest, this is the most surreal description of a song I’ve written. At the end of January my father passed away after nearly twelve months of battling with cancer. The words to this song have never had as much meaning to me as they have in these last few weeks. As I have longed for more conversation with my earthly father, I have found so much comfort in the reality of a greater, never removed Father.
